Fried Idli

Ingredients


Idli (leftover)      6
Sesame oil      2 tblsp
Idli podi       As needed

How to make


Preheat oven to 190 oC. Cut the idlies into wedges as shown in the picture. Sprinkle and mix sesame oil generously to coat it evenly. 1-cut Arrange it in a baking tray and bake it for 10 -12 minutes. Take it out and turn over the idlies.bake,turnBake again for 10-12 minutes or until golden in colour.

Transfer to a bowl and toss it with idli podi as needed while it is hot. Sprinkle more sesame oil if needed.3-toss Same can be done by deep frying the idli wedges too. It takes a while to get fried and oil too is absorbed more.

Serve hot with tomato chilli sauce or sauce of your choice. You can even make chutney to go well with this. It stays crisp even after cooled down.
