Will Mads step in for Sridevi?
After being turned down by Sridevi, Rajesh Roshan will approach Madhuri for his debut production.
Music director Rajesh Roshan who is turning producer with a film exploring the influence of online adult content on young children is working hard on a casting coup. But Mirror has it that the veteran musician's moves are not going as planned. A few days ago, he had approached Sridevi to play the lead role in his film and the actress had expressed interest in the project. Things went awry when Sridevi's producer husband Boney Kapoor entered the picture. He was not keen on her signing the film and convinced the actress to turn down the offer.
"Rajesh was quite upset when Sridevi said no. But he could do little about it,"says a source close to the composer. The film will mark the Bollywood debut of National Award winning Marathi director Gajendra Ahire.
"Rajesh has been toying with the idea of turning producer for the past two years. Finally, it is happening. But the casting is proving to be a difficult step but he has come up with an alternative for Sridevi, pronto"revealed the source. Buzz is, Rajesh is now headed to meet Madhuri Dixit.
"The rest of the cast will be finalised soon but the focus is on the heroine. Once she is cast, Rajesh will start the film, hopefully by end of this year."
