The ARAI fuel efficiency rating for the Alto K10 is 20.2kpl. When subjected to a road test, the lightweight and efficient motor allowed the Maruti Alto K10 to deliver an efficiency of 14kpl in the city and 17kpl on the highway. The Alto K10 gets the same 998cc, three-cylinder engine as the Wagon R which makes a similar 67bhp and 9.1kgm of torque. The Alto K10 LXi costs Rs 3.15 lakh while the VXi costs Rs 3.31 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
