Having someone to talk to and confide in is one of the beautiful perks of being in a relationship. But if you think it's best to maintain a keep-no-secrets level of closeness, we've got to warn you: Not every detail has to be shared. In fact, it can be advantageous to keep him in the dark about certain things, like these. Here are 10 things you do not need to tell him because it's okay not to.
That you hate his friends
This is an excellent way to get on your BF's bad side. Look, how would you feel if he started bashing your besties? You would probably not appreciate it. So, don't do it to him. If his friends are being rude and treating you terribly, then you should of course say something. But if you just think their immature and annoying, keep that to yourself.
About your past
You do not owe him an explanation for your past and it's better for both of you to let go of it and not haunt your future.
That you hate any of your exes
Maybe your ex broke your heart or humiliated you or committed some awful relationship crime and you regularly entertain vindictive fantasies in which you set fire to his most prized possessions and terrorize him in the middle of the night. Whatever you do, keep your vengeful dreams and hateful thoughts to yourself. It doesn't matter how terribly things ended with that last guy. It's never wise to tell your current partner that you hate your ex because hate is an indication of strong feelings and lingering passion. Hate isn't the opposite of love, after all Indifference is.
