R.I.P. to The Cartoonist Legend- Pran
Pran Kumar Sharma (August 15, 1938 - August 6, 2014), better known as Pran, was an Indian cartoonist best known as the creator of Chacha Chaudhary (1971). . He also created other characters like Shrimatiji, Pinki, Billoo, Raman, and Channie Chachi. He died on August 6, 2014 at the age of 75 in New Delhi, India.
He was, who gave life to lovable comic characters Chacha Chaudhary and his friend Sabu, is no more.
"Pran passed away at 9 a.m. at the Medanta hospital. He had been suffering from cancer of the intestine for the past eight months. He is survived by a son and a daughter", Gulshan Rai, Publisher, Diamond Comics, told PTI.
