Mahindra is ready to launch India's first electric two wheeler in the US towards the middle of the year. Company will present the scooter with the name 'GenZe'. A team based in Palo Alto, California has been working on GenZe. The first prototype was seen at an event in US held last year where the scooter was first showcased. As per sources, the idea behind the electric scooter was first conceived at Silicon Valley and was stated as, 'part of a single global initiative from Mahindra to address the growing problem of transportation in crowded cities across the world.' The Mahindra GenZe scooter shall only be launched for the US market at a price tag of Rs 180,000.
