She delighted fans when she made her musical comeback this year after a two-year hiatus.

But Lily Allen has come forward to reveal the real reasons behind her return to the industry - she missed the perks of being a pop star.

In an interview with Britain's Glamour magazine, Lily admitted that being a stay at home mother to children Ethel and Marnie just didn't come with the same benefits as being a world-famous singer. She said: 'I wasn't good at staying at home all day, it didn't suit me. I'm creative, it's just who I am… I missed the positive feedback about my music from my fans.

'I missed the rush of performing. I missed the free clothes and handbags and the good tables in posh restaurants. I did!' Lily added in the interview that she was nervous about how her return to singing would affect her family life with husband Sam Cooper, but has been pleasantly surprised by how well he has managed it.
