Gucci is one of those brands which is known for high-quality leather products and gaudy patterns. Their belts, jackets, bags, and shoes are popular for their innovative styles and designs. But recently, when the Italian luxury brand advertised one of its shoes, they were slammed by thousands of users on social media.

Believe it or not, Gucci is charging almost Rs 60, 000 ($840) for a pair of dirty sneakers that the brand described as "vintage" and "old schools".

The 70s inspired sneakers, which were made in Italy and are part of the Cruise 2019 collection, has raised a lot of eyebrows on social media.

However, this isn't the first time that Gucci has been criticised for their outrageous price tag and design. Just last week, they drew a lot of flak on social media for selling a knit that was accused of racial overtones.

The black jumper with a high neckline, priced at $890, featured pair of red lips that many believed looked like a black face. After pictures of the jumper went viral, Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele said he took full responsibility for the 'racist' garment.
