This is what happened last year on a rather amusing day in October at Google. Sanmay Ved, an MBA saw Google.com being offered for sale on Google Domains. Without spending much time, snagged the multi-billion dollar company's URL for $12 and owned the domain for one minute before Google realized the mistake and cancelled the purchase.
