The LG G7 One is LG's first smartphone in the Android One program, but it's now also the first LG smartphone to be running Android Pie. XDA Senior Member ChrisAG posted on our LG G7 forum that an 812MB update was pushed to their device in Canada, bringing it up to Android 9 Pie with the latest November security patches. The kernel source code for the Android Pie release has already been uploaded as well. Since the device is in the Android One program, the G7 One is guaranteed to receive monthly security patch updates. However, the Android One program does not specify any timeline for major Android platform updates, so we're glad to see that LG has finally released the update for the device.
