Poetry on Pottery by Shilpy @ Ceramic Trail!

Such is the beauty in the words of the great poet, Rumi!And these couplets serve as an inspiration to Shilpy Gupta, an amazing artist who skillfully translates these impressions on clay through her Pottery!
An acclaimed potter and an artist from Bangalore with over fifteen years of experience in recreating masterpieces on clay, Shilpycalls them "Ceramic Trails".In her words, her inspiration for pottery comes from Poetry, Spirituality or all the places that she travels to. Shilpy had always been fascinated by the art of Pottery and she finally managed to learn this artwork at a studio in the USA and went on to participate in exhibitions,thereby establishing herself professionally.
Shilpysoon moved her base to India and has been single-handedly working on her passion and also teaching advanced pottery classes. Shilpy loves to experiment and push her creativity to the unknown realms. This is the quest which led her to invent the theme of 'Poetry on Pottery' and to challenge herself to think beyond the wheel and make it more creative. She did her first exhibition at Lalit Kala Academy, Chennai which proved to be immensely successful and thereafter went on to gear up for a solo exhibition in Bangalore.
