New Instagram feature could allow users to share their Location History with Facebook
It also seems that the company is keeping the feature on by default. It is also not clear that once the feature is live it will allow the users to opt-in or opt out of it as per their choice.
TechCrunch also contacted Facebook on the same issue and answering the query a the company's spokesperson said, "To confirm, we haven't introduced updates to our location settings. As you know, we often work on ideas that may evolve over time or ultimately not be tested or released. Instagram does not currently store Location History; we'll keep people updated with any changes to our location settings in the future."
