The Met Gala, which sees celebrities dressed in extravagant fineries, is an annual fashion event which is held on the first Monday in the month of May. This year, the most significant fashion fundraiser event starts on May 6. Each year, the star-studded event has a unique theme, and this year it is 'Camp: Notes on Fashion'. The Costume Institute's spring 2019 exhibition will explore the origins of the camp's exuberant aesthetic. Camp, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is a style or mode of personal or creative expression that is absurdly exaggerated and often fuses elements of high and popular culture.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas
She  is attending the event third time this year, stepped out in a dramatic Dior gown from its Spring 2018 collection. Going by the theme of the gala last night, Camp: Notes on Fashion, the couple turned heads coordinating in their silvery ornate ensembles. Priyanka opted for a haute couture number which featured cage detailing on the corset, flowing cape, multicolored feathers at the hem and a risque thigh-high slit.
She paired the ensemble with a thorny headgear, silver-frosted brows and lashes, dark plum eyeshadow and lips and an otherworldly angelic vibe. To top it all off, Priyanka teased her hair in wild curls and finished off her look. She accessorised the ensemble with a pair of silver pumps and purple drop earrings and multi-layered pendants.

Kim Kardashian is wearing a mini corset dress by Thierry Mugler to tonight's Met Gala. Mugler was fashion's hottest designer and rebel boy before he disappeared from fashion. Of course, Kim Kardashian had to be the one to bring him out of retirement.
