Enjoy you Holi with our special sweet homemade snack shakarpara. They are easy to make and also tastes good. Shakarparas are prepared in two ways, either sugar or jaggery is kneaded in the dough or they are sugar coated later.

Ingredients
250 grams Flour, 50 grams Ghee, 25 grams Cream, 50-60 grams Sugar, 50-60 grams Milk, 1 tablespoon Poppy Seeds and Refined Oil.

How to make

Grind sugar finely; Sift flour, add ghee, sugar and cream and mix well.
Knead firm dough with milk and mix in poppy seeds. Now cover and keep aside for 20 minutes.
Make two small balls of dough and roll like a puri of 1/2 cm thickness. Cut it of 1 cm diameter.
Heat oil in karai and fry shakarparas in hot oil on medium flame till they turn brown.
Remove them from oil and place them on paper napkins.
Cool and store them in an air tight container. Poppy Seeds flavored Shakarparas are ready.
