But it seems Cher Lloyd is a little less known across the pond, as an event organiser had to hold up a name placard informing the press and public exactly who the 20-year-old pint sized pop princess is on the red carpet outside Los Angeles' Supperclub on Wednesday.
Although Cher, 20, looked every inch the American singer, showing off long wavy blonde tresses that wouldn't look out of place on Californian beach, her identity clearly needed to be clarified.
